After being an industry leader since 1987 and spending almost 15 years building the sales and operations for some of the largest independent distributors in the industry Michael decided he needed to be his own boss.

In August of 2000 Michael founded Lockwood Electronics with his former employer from Standard Electronics, the largest independent distributor of AMP (now TE Connectivity) product at the time. A company Michael had spent nine years building. Michael’s successes continued and Lockwood Electronics quickly became a Philly Top 100 company and the 29th fastest growing company in the Delaware Valley in 2003 and 46th in 2004. In 2006, Michael Nitkowski decided it was time to part ways with his business partner and start V-FAIR Surplus Solutions, Inc. Often referred to as simply V-FAIR Surplus Solutions. Since then V-FAIR Surplus Solutions has provided our clients with nothing but world class service and continue to offer the highest returns for surplus in the industry.
